1. Who sells
PrivateHouseholdJobs.com is operated by Marion International Inc., a company incorporated in Quebec, Canada. In this document, “we” means Marion International Inc. and “you” means the person or business purchasing a product on the site.

2. What we sell
We sell visibility for private household service job openings. Three products are available:
The single posting entitles you to publish one job opening for 30 consecutive days from the date it goes live.
The five-posting pack entitles you to five 30-day publications, usable separately within 12 months of purchase. Credits not used within that period are forfeited.
The monthly subscription entitles you to an unlimited number of active postings during the current subscription period. It renews automatically each month until cancelled.
Current prices appear on the Pricing page. They are stated in Canadian dollars and exclude taxes. Applicable GST, HST and QST are calculated and added at checkout based on your place of business.
3. Ordering and payment
Payment is made online by credit card and processed by Stripe. We store no card numbers on our servers.
Your card statement will show PRIVATEHOUSEHOLDJOBS, or PHJOBS in short form.
The order is final once payment is authorized. A receipt showing the taxes collected is emailed to you. It also remains available at any time in the Billing section of your account, where you can download it as a PDF.
4. Publishing your posting
A paid posting goes live after review, normally within one business day.
We may refuse, edit or remove a posting that breaches section 5, without notice. If we refuse a posting before publication, you are refunded in full. If we remove a posting after publication because of your breach, no refund is due.
The 30-day period runs from the date the posting actually goes live, not from the purchase date.
5. What you undertake
You warrant that each posting corresponds to a real, available position and that you are the employer or its authorized representative.
You undertake to comply with employment standards and human rights legislation applicable in the province where the position is located, including the prohibition of discrimination on any protected ground.
You undertake to state compensation, or a compensation range, that reflects the actual position.
You may not charge candidates any amount whatsoever, on any basis, in connection with a posting published on the site.
You may not publish the same opening multiple times to occupy more space, publish on behalf of a third party without authorization, or use candidate contact details for any purpose other than recruiting for the advertised position.
6. What we do not guarantee
We sell a publication, not an outcome. We do not guarantee a number of applications, the quality of the profiles received, or a hire.
We do not verify candidates’ identity, background or qualifications. Pre-employment screening is your responsibility.
We aim for continuous availability without being able to guarantee it. A service interruption that prevents a paid posting from being published entitles you to an equivalent extension of the display period or, at your option, a refund of that posting.
7. Cancelling a subscription
The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Your active postings remain online until then and are removed thereafter.
No pro rata refund is issued for a period already begun.
We may suspend or terminate your access without refund in case of serious or repeated breach of section 5, or non-payment.
8. Liability
Our total liability, on any basis whatsoever, is limited to the amount you paid us during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of profit, loss of business opportunity or reputational harm.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Personal information
The handling of personal information is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. The version applicable to your purchase is the one in force at the time of payment. Changes affecting an ongoing subscription are announced at least 30 days in advance and take effect at the next renewal.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
12. Language
The parties have expressly requested that these terms be drafted in English, after having been provided with the French version. Les parties ont expressément demandé que les présentes conditions soient rédigées en anglais, après que la version française leur a été remise.

2. Ce que nous vendons
Nous vendons de la visibilité pour des offres d’emploi en service privé résidentiel. Trois produits sont offerts :
L’annonce à l’unité donne droit à la publication d’une offre d’emploi pendant 30 jours consécutifs à compter de sa mise en ligne.
Le lot de cinq annonces donne droit à cinq publications de 30 jours, utilisables séparément dans les 12 mois suivant l’achat. Les crédits non utilisés à l’expiration de ce délai sont perdus.
L’abonnement mensuel donne droit à un nombre illimité de publications actives pendant la période d’abonnement en cours. Il se renouvelle automatiquement chaque mois jusqu’à résiliation.
Les prix en vigueur figurent sur la page Tarifs. Ils sont exprimés en dollars canadiens et s’entendent hors taxes. La TPS, la TVH et la TVQ applicables sont calculées et ajoutées au moment du paiement selon votre lieu d’établissement.
3. Commande et paiement
Le paiement s’effectue en ligne par carte de crédit, traité par Stripe. Nous ne conservons aucun numéro de carte sur nos serveurs.
Le relevé de votre carte affichera la mention PRIVATEHOUSEHOLDJOBS, ou PHJOBS en format abrégé.
La commande est ferme dès l’autorisation du paiement. Un reçu indiquant les taxes perçues vous est transmis par courriel. Il reste accessible en tout temps dans la section Facturation de votre compte, où vous pouvez le télécharger en format PDF.
4. Publication de votre annonce
Une annonce payée est mise en ligne après vérification, généralement dans un délai d’un jour ouvrable.
Nous nous réservons le droit de refuser, de modifier ou de retirer une annonce qui contrevient à la section 5, sans préavis. En cas de refus avant publication, la somme versée vous est remboursée intégralement. En cas de retrait après publication pour manquement de votre part, aucun remboursement n’est dû.
La durée de 30 jours court à compter de la mise en ligne effective, non de la date d’achat.
5. Ce que vous vous engagez à respecter
Vous garantissez que chaque offre publiée correspond à un poste réel, disponible, et que vous êtes l’employeur ou son mandataire autorisé.
Vous vous engagez à respecter les normes du travail et les lois sur les droits de la personne applicables dans la province où le poste est situé, notamment l’interdiction de toute discrimination fondée sur un motif protégé.
Vous vous engagez à indiquer une rémunération ou une fourchette de rémunération conforme à la réalité du poste.
Il vous est interdit de réclamer une somme quelconque aux candidats, à quelque titre que ce soit, en lien avec une offre publiée sur le site.
Il vous est interdit de publier une même offre en plusieurs exemplaires pour occuper davantage d’espace, de publier au nom d’un tiers sans son autorisation, ou d’utiliser les coordonnées des candidats à une fin étrangère au recrutement pour le poste annoncé.
6. Ce que nous ne garantissons pas
Nous vendons une publication, pas un résultat. Nous ne garantissons ni un nombre de candidatures, ni la qualité des profils reçus, ni l’embauche.
Nous ne vérifions pas l’identité, les antécédents ni les qualifications des candidats. Les vérifications préalables à l’embauche relèvent de vous.
Nous visons une disponibilité continue du site sans pouvoir la garantir. Une interruption de service qui empêcherait la publication d’une annonce payée donne droit à une prolongation équivalente de la durée de diffusion ou, à votre choix, au remboursement de l’annonce concernée.
7. Résiliation de l’abonnement
L’abonnement mensuel se résilie à tout moment depuis votre compte. La résiliation prend effet à la fin de la période déjà payée. Vos annonces actives restent en ligne jusqu’à cette échéance, puis sont retirées.
Aucun remboursement au prorata n’est effectué pour une période entamée.
Nous pouvons suspendre ou résilier votre accès sans remboursement en cas de manquement grave ou répété à la section 5, ou de défaut de paiement.
8. Responsabilité
Notre responsabilité totale, tous chefs de réclamation confondus, est limitée au montant que vous nous avez versé au cours des douze mois précédant le fait générateur.
Nous ne répondons pas des pertes indirectes, notamment d’une perte de profit, d’une perte d’occasion d’affaires ou d’un préjudice de réputation.
Rien dans la présente section n’écarte une responsabilité qui ne peut être écartée par la loi.
9. Protection des renseignements personnels
Le traitement des renseignements personnels est décrit dans notre politique de confidentialité, qui fait partie intégrante des présentes conditions.
10. Modification des conditions
Nous pouvons modifier les présentes conditions. La version applicable à votre achat est celle en vigueur au moment du paiement. Les modifications touchant un abonnement en cours vous sont annoncées au moins 30 jours à l’avance et prennent effet au renouvellement suivant.
11. Droit applicable
Les présentes conditions sont régies par les lois du Québec et les lois fédérales canadiennes qui y sont applicables. Tout litige relève de la compétence exclusive des tribunaux du district judiciaire de Montréal.
