SUMMARY
A private family in Mercier, Quebec, is looking for an experienced, organized and self-directed Housekeeper to take charge of the day to day upkeep of a private residence, and occasionally of a second home.
The person we are looking for will handle all household cleaning duties, keep the residence immaculate and contribute to the smooth running of the home. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, works with discretion and professionalism, and enjoys delivering high quality service in a private home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping
- Provide thorough and regular cleaning of the residence to high standards.
- Dust and clean bathrooms, the kitchen, bedrooms and living areas.
- Clean floors, delicate surfaces, interior windows and other features of the residence.
- Carry out seasonal and deep cleaning when required.
- Keep the residence clean, welcoming and perfectly organized at all times.
Laundry and garment care
- Wash, dry, fold and put away clothing and household linens.
- Iron and steam garments as needed.
- Give proper care to delicate fabrics and garments requiring special attention.
- Organize wardrobes and keep storage areas in order.
Household organization
- Keep cupboards, the pantry, refrigerators and storage areas well organized.
- Manage household product inventories and flag restocking needs.
- Run light errands as needed.
- Prepare bedrooms and bathrooms ahead of guest arrivals.
- Help with setting up for events.
- Coordinate with various tradespeople and subcontractors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Substantial experience as a housekeeper, family helper or in the upkeep of high end private residences.
- Excellent command of residential housekeeping techniques.
- Experience caring for fine linens and quality garments.
- Must speak French or English.
- Exceptional sense of organization and attention to detail.
- Strong autonomy and ability to manage priorities.
- Impeccable discretion, integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Permanent full-time position.
- Day schedule, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility required.
