SUMMARY
A family based in Montreal is looking for a versatile, caring and organized Family Assistant to provide daily support to an active household with two children aged 4 and 6, and to take full charge of the children and of the running of the home from time to time.
The role is mainly about supporting the parents with the children's daily routines, keeping the home well organized, and preparing healthy, balanced evening meals for the family. The right person enjoys working with children, shows initiative, is dependable and takes pleasure in contributing to a harmonious, well structured family life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Childcare and family support.
- Take part in the daily care and supervision of two children aged 4 and 6.
- Handle the after school routines.
- Get the children ready for their extracurricular activities.
- Organize educational and recreational activities suited to their age.
- Help with homework when needed.
- Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas and personal belongings clean and well organized.
- Do the children's laundry, including folding and putting clothes away.
- Prepare the bathroom and bedrooms for the bedtime routine.
- Encourage good manners, positive routines and healthy habits.
- Plan and prepare simple, healthy and balanced family dinners.
- Plan, prepare and pack the children's lunches.
- Help with errands and grocery shopping.
- Keep the kitchen clean and well organized after preparing meals.
- Keep track of food supplies and household provisions.
- Work alongside the housekeeper on light household tasks connected to the children's daily activities.
- Contribute to the general organization of the home as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a Family Assistant, Nanny, House Assistant or in a similar role within a private residence.
- Experience with young children.
- Strong cooking skills and the ability to prepare simple, healthy family meals.
- Flexibility and availability for occasional extended hours, as well as some evenings or weekends when needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Professionalism, discretion, honesty and reliability.
- Patience, energy and genuine enjoyment of working with children.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the household and work independently.
- A valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Excellent command of French or English; bilingualism is an asset.
- Valid child CPR and first aid certification.
