SUMMARY
We are looking for a versatile, discreet and trustworthy professional to support a private family in its daily personal and business activities. The role calls for real flexibility, on-call availability and the ability to respond quickly to varied requests. The ideal candidate is handy, proactive, helpful and attentive to detail, and delivers a high level of service in a confidential environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handyman duties
- Provide day to day logistical and practical support (errands, light upkeep, coordination of services and similar tasks).
- Oversee a main residence and secondary residences, mainly in Montreal and occasionally in Tremblant or Austin.
- Identify indoor and outdoor maintenance and repair projects.
- General stewardship of household services, including ventilation, heating and air conditioning, light exterior upkeep, painting and minor repairs.
- Source and supervise third party suppliers and contractors.
Chauffeur duties
- Provide safe and punctual transportation for the Executive Chair of the Board, her family and her guests.
- Keep the vehicles clean and in good mechanical condition at all times.
- Make sure the vehicles always have enough fuel.
- Take the vehicles for mechanical inspections and arrange servicing when required.
- Respond quickly to unexpected and urgent needs, with little notice.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and professionalism at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Professional experience with a private family.
- Strong discretion and a sense of confidentiality.
- Positive, reliable and service oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's licence with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to adapt to irregular schedules.
- Broad availability and schedule flexibility.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Full-time, 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Availability required Monday to Friday.
- Between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., one to two days per week.
- Flexibility required to cover the occasional Saturday and Sunday, with about one week of notice.
- Hours worked may vary from one week to the next but always stay between 35 and 40 hours.
